AJ Pritchard is reportedly still in the frame to appear in the lineup for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! despite testing positive for coronavirus.
The 26-year-old former Strictly Come Dancing pro is said to have received news of a positive diagnosis several days ago and according to The Mirror, as long as he completes a mandatory 10-day isolation period and then tests negative, he will be allowed to join the show as planned.
"AJ has had a positive test but is not in hospital or seriously ill and instead has been isolating in a cottage in Wales which is the correct thing to do," a source told the newspaper.
"All the contestants have been isolating now for some time and will not meet until the end of the week with the show likely to start filming late on Friday or early Saturday.
"He will need to provide several negative tests before he is allowed anywhere near the camp but time is on his side. ITV always takes health and safety seriously and with the coronavirus they won't take any chances.
"All the signs are that AJ is still likely to be taking part in the series and the show will kick off as planned with ten contestants going in.
"Luckily AJ's case was caught by the stringent measures the show bosses have put in place, including frequent testing of the campmates."
The new series begins next Sunday, November 15 on ITV.
