Ant and Dec want "no-nonsense" Roy Keane on I'm A Celebrity

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant and Dec name Roy Keane as their ideal contestant for this year's series.

Ant and Dec have named Roy Keane at the top of their wishlist for this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The 49-year-old football player-turned-pundit - a regular for Sky Sports - is known for his brutal putdowns and pugnacious manner - and previously served as manager of Sunderland, arch rivals of Ant and Dec's beloved Newcastle United.

Asked about potential contestants for this year's show, Dec told The Sun: "Roy Keane for me. I'd love to see him treat his fellow campmates with the same disdain he treats Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp.

"He'd be no-nonsense, he wouldn't put up with stupidity from the others. He's top of my list."

Ant added: "It's always good to have people that will speak their mind and ruffle a few feathers.

"As much as we love people getting on and having fun, we also love a bit of conflict there."

The new series of I'm A Celebrity will air on ITV in November, although whether the show is staged in Wales again or returns to the Australian jungle remains up in the air.
