Carole Baskin denies appearance on "gross" I'm A Celebrity

Carole Baskin strongly denies speculation that she is gearing up for an appearance on this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Tiger King star Carole Baskin has strongly denied rumours that she is in talks to appear on this year's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The ITV series is going ahead as usual this November but is being relocated from Australia to Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Baskin, who has shot to fame over the last few months due to the popularity of the Netflix series, was said to be in the frame for a star turn on the show but has now hit out at it after learning about the "gross" eating challenges.

"I strive towards veganism so there is nothing so gross in the plant world, for me to be forced to eat on camera, as to make for entertaining television," she told The Mirror.

"The show has been criticised by animal lovers for the consumption of live creatures, and no amount of money would make me want to be part of something that disrespects nature that way."

Earlier this week Baskin was hit with a lawsuit by the family of her ex-husband Don Lewis, who went mysteriously missing in 1997 and is presumed dead.
