Three youths are said to have vandalised Gwrych Castle, the home of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, over the weekend.
The ITV show is returning to the Welsh site this year after coronavirus travel restrictions made travel to Australia impractical for a second successive year.
In preparation for the new series, the castle closed its doors to the public over the weekend as ITV production staff geared up to move in, but the owners reported seeing three children destroy one of the walls just before closing.
An "astonished" staff member told PA: "Thankfully nobody was injured, but part of the Grade l-listed building was damaged."
The castle's Twitter account shared a picture of the damage, adding: "Our final day reminded us how far we've come, but also how much we have left to do over the coming years.
"It was a huge shame to see that somebody damaged one of the restored battlements on the east lawn on our last day. This goes to show the huge task we have ahead of us!"
The new series of I'm A Celebrity begins on ITV in mid-November.
