Tonight's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! will not be live as planned due to the impending threat of Storm Arwen, ITV has confirmed.
Earlier today the Met Office issued a rare red weather warning as a result of the storm, which is sweeping down from Scotland through England and Wales over the course of the coming hours.
Winds in excess of 80mph, as well as rain storms and snow, are expected to blight the country - and are likely to hit I'm A Celebrity's home of Gwrych Castle in North Wales at some point during the evening.
As a result, ITV has decided to pre-record tonight's episode of the show, which was due to air live at 9pm, in order to safeguard both the wellbeing of the crew and ensure that the broadcast itself can go ahead.
A spokesperson said: "Tonight's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! will be broadcast as a pre-recorded show rather than live due to the developing Storm Arwen and precautionary measures we're putting into place on production.
"Ant and Dec will record their links early evening and these will be played out during tonight's show.
"Our celebrities will remain inside the castle which is secure and we have contingencies in place to cover all weather scenarios to ensure the safety of our cast and crew."
The episode will also feature the first interview with Richard Madeley, who was forced to quit the series yesterday on medical grounds.
