Jodie Comer admits that it was the right decision to bring Killing Eve to its climax next year.

Jodie Comer has admitted that she believes the time is right for Killing Eve to be coming to an end.

The popular drama thriller, which stars Comer as international assassin Villanelle, will return for a fourth and climactic final season of eight episodes in 2022.

Talking to Variety about the impending end, she said: "We never, ever want for that [quality] to drop, or to carry on a story for the sake of carrying on, whether that be greed or whatever the reason.

"It feels like where we are right now, it feels natural that we've come to this point where, now, we can really focus on the ending."

Asked about recent rumours of potential spinoff shows, she replied: "I've by no means been a part of any conversations."

Filming of season four was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic but finally began in June and wrapped up on Saturday.
