US streamer Peacock orders a new Love Island spinoff show featuring former contestants from the US, UK and Australia.

Peacock in the US has ordered a Love Island spinoff featuring former contestants from the US, UK and Australia.

Called Love Island Games, the new show is described as a "cheeky new iteration" that will bring together ex-Islanders for a second shot at love.

The spinoff will also feature a new competitive element as the contestants will be required to take part in team and couples' challenges in a bid to be crowned inaugural champion of the Love Island Games.

The show will air this autumn on US streamer Peacock after the regular version wraps its fifth season, with details of a potential UK transmission on ITV2 and/or ITVX currently unknown.

The identities of the Islanders, as well as the host and location, will be revealed in the coming months.
