ITV is said to be developing an "All Stars" series of Love Island featuring popular former participants.

ITV is reportedly actively working on an "All Stars" edition of Love Island for 2024.

The special series would feature the most popular islanders from past series returning for a new shot at love - and cash - in an idyllic setting.

According to The Sun, producers are already drawing up names of potential participants and have the likes of Maura Higgins, Sophie Piper and Kady McDermott on their wishlist.

"Love Island All Stars is in development at ITV and it is a concept they have been talking about," a source told the newspaper.

"This summer's series marks the tenth series of the show and ITV thinks there is an appetite for the concept.

"The plan would be to invite some of the sexiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around.

"Women like Maura, Sophie and India would be top of ITV's wishlist, while male stars including 2017 series winner Kem Cetinay and fan favourite Scott Thomas, who was in the show in 2016, are also on the wishlist."

The current winter edition of Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
