Davide Sanclimenti admits that he was found "vulnerable" in a viral video which saw the Love Island star snorting white powder.

Love Island alumnus Davide Sanclimenti has admitted that he was caught in a "vulnerable" moment after a video emerged of him snorting a white powder on a trip to Ibiza.

The 28-year-old Italian won the summer 2022 edition of the dating show with Ekin-Su Culculoglu, but earlier this month they confirmed they had split.

Several days later Sanclimenti was filmed in Ibiza nightspot Secret Garden when someone filmed him ingesting the suspicious material, then uploaded the video to social media.

"Ciao everyone. You may have seen some stories about me over my trip in Ibiza," Sanclimenti wrote on Instagram. "It was no secret that the last few weeks have been difficult for me.

"There was a speculation about my behaviour and a video which was questionable, however below the surface of this I did something that's not nice to see and was not acting like myself.

"The true story is not what has been described from a couple of pictures. I found myself in awkward situations, in a vulnerable state.

"All I can say now is that I want to move on and focus on my career, my wellbeing and my loved ones.

"I hugely appreciated the many supportive messages around me. Thank you. Davide Xx."

Sanclimenti had been in the Balearics on a three-day trip shooting modelling pictures for fashion website boohooMAN.
