Molly-Mae Hague opens up on "horrendous" time after death of puppy Mr Chai

Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague admits to having a "horrendous" time following the shock death of her puppy Mr Chai.

Former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has admitted to having a "horrendous" time over the last few weeks following the death of her puppy Mr Chai.

The Pomeranian - a 21st birthday gift from her boyfriend Tommy Fury - died just six days after coming into their care via a breeder who imported him from Russia.

Molly-Mae has been less active on social media following the tragic incident but returned to YouTube over the weekend to update followers on how she is coping.

"I'm back on YouTube and this was actually a little sooner than I had planned," she said. "I was enjoying the break from social media and just taking some time to just chill with Tommy and just deal with some of the stuff we were going through over the last month.

"The last few weeks have really made me reflect on how on Earth people go through things like losing a parent, losing a family member, losing someone close to them like a girlfriend, boyfriend – whatever it is, I do not understand how people go through that kind of stuff.

"I'm just extremely lucky in my life that I've never lost a family member at this age. I honestly just cry thinking about it because the last two weeks for me have just been horrendous and it was a dog and I had him for five days."

The couple previously hit back at criticism of how they had acquired Mr Chai, insisting that his death had nothing to do with his journey from Russia.
