Olly Murs "still struggling" with loss of Caroline Flack

Olly Murs reveals that he is still finding it difficult to come to terms with the death of close friend and colleague Caroline Flack.

Olly Murs has admitted that he is still struggling to come to terms with the loss of close friend Caroline Flack earlier this year.

The Love Island presenter took her own life in February while awaiting trial for the alleged assault of her boyfriend Lewis Burton - charges that both of them had flatly denied.

The 40-year-old met Murs when they presented The Xtra Factor together and their chemistry was so impressive that it led to them earning the job on the main show in 2015.

"For Caz not to be here anymore is hard, it's difficult," Murs told The Secret To podcast. "It doesn't get easy. I'm just fortunate that I spent so many great memories with her, I've so many amazing times with her that I can look back on, I'm very fortunate that a lot of it was documented.

"I am still struggling. It hurts every day thinking about what she must have gone through. It breaks my heart what happened. I love her.

"It's mad when you do lose someone you care about. We didn't speak every day, we didn't message every day, but there is a massive hole in my life without Caz in it. I think about her most days, I think about what she'd be doing on TikTok.

"Goodbye is not forever. I know I will see her again at some point so I look forward to that day."

As a former winner of Strictly Come Dancing, Flack will be honoured with a special tribute by the show later this year.
