Love Island will return for two series in 2023, ITV has announced today.
The news means that the Winter edition of the perennially-popular dating show - set in South Africa rather than Majorca - will return to ITV2 in January after three years off the air due to coronavirus.
That series will be followed up by the regular summer edition, which will again air over eight weeks.
Paul Mortimer, controller of ITV2, said: "Love Island has once again proved itself to be the nation's favourite talking point across the summer, and we're always blown away by the show's ongoing impact and talkability amongst our younger audience.
"So, rather than just serving up a Summer of Love, we thought we'd make 2023 the Year of Love with two full series of the show."
The current series continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2.
