Pete Wicks, Sam Thompson's Instagram show picked up by E4

Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson's Instagram show is developed into a series by E4.

E4 has announced plans for a new series hosted by TOWIE star Pete Wicks and Made In Chelsea's Sam Thompson.

The two became friends after appearing together on Celebs Go Dating and have been presenting their own show, Pete & Sam's Reality News, on Instagram since last year.

The series sees the pair present viewers with the latest news concerning Z-listers and trashy reality shows - and is now being adapted for TV by E4.

New 15-minute episodes will air on the channel every Monday night at 11pm starting next week, and they will also be made available across Channel 4's social channels, including YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat, as well as All 4.

"I'm so excited that we've been able to take the success of Pete & Sam's Reality News on Insta and make it bigger, better and bolder than ever before, with E4's social platforms in mind," said Navi Lamba, commissioning executive at E4.

"The launch on Snap in particular means we're going to be able to reach the young people that love them."

The news suggests that Thompson may not feature in the next series of Made In Chelsea, which is reportedly in the process of being filmed at a mystery lockdown location.
