Disney+ is to premiere a new Marvel-themed mini-episode of The Simpsons called The Good, The Bart, and The Loki.

Disney has announced that it will make a Marvel-themed mini-episode of The Simpsons available on Disney+ next Wednesday, July 7.

Called The Good, The Bart, and The Loki, the new short will see Loki, God of Mischief (voiced by Tom Hiddleston) team up with Bart Simpson in what is being branded "the ultimate crossover event".

In a description for the short, Disney says: "Loki is banished from Asgard once again and must face his toughest opponents yet: the Simpsons and Springfield's mightiest heroes."

An Avengers-inspired poster for the episode - seen above - depicts characters from The Simpsons as Marvel superheroes, including Lisa as Thor, Milhouse as Hawkeye and Barney as Iron Man.

The release of the short will coincide with the penultimate episode of Loki, which will also be released on July 7.
