Tom Holland has given his backing to a new Spider-Man movie starring his predecessor Andrew Garfield.
The most recent film in the Spidey franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was a multiverse adventure that saw Holland's superhero team up with both Garfield and Tobey Maguire's versions of Spider-Man.
Garfield appeared in just two movies, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, before the role was recast with Holland - and now that the door is open, the prospect of The Amazing Spider-Man 3 has re-emerged.
"I think what was so wonderful was how Andrew was kind of able to make amends with the character and studio to kind of win the general public back," Holland told ComicBook.com.
"That scene when he saved Zendaya - like, the fan reaction was so spectacular."
He added: "So should Sony decide to do that, they would have my full support and, obviously, so would Andrew."
With box office receipts of over $1.7 billion (£1.3 billion) to date, Spider-Man: No Way Home currently ranks as the sixth highest-grossing film of all time.
