The Power of the Dog swiftly followed up BAFTA success with the top honour at the Critics Choice Awards last night, being named Best Picture and claiming three other awards.

Will Smith was named Best Actor for his role in King Richard, while Jessica Chastain took the Best Actress award ahead of what looks set to be a tightly-contested category at the Oscars.

Among the TV categories, Ted Lasso predictably managed four wins, while there was also success for Succession, The White Lotus and Squid Game.
