Andrew Garfield reveals that he is keen to star in an erotic thriller along the lines of Fatal Attraction.

Andrew Garfield has revealed that appearing in an erotic thriller along the lines of Fatal Attraction is on his bucket list.

The 41-year-old has been on the screen for the last two decades, coming to international prominence with 2010's The Social Network before taking on an iconic role in the Spider-Man franchise.

After taking a few years off from acting, Garfield is now back, starring opposite Florence Pugh in the romantic comedy We Live In Time, but in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter he admitted that he is also game for something racier in future.

"I was thinking about [making] films like Fatal Attraction, Unfaithful, Adrian Lyne. Like an erotic thriller," he said.

"But from what I understand young people want less sex on their screens! It probably makes sense because they've been exposed to so much insane, graphic pornography, accessible at the click of a switch that they're like: 'No more.'

"So eroticism has been killed somehow, because of the overtaking of pornography."

We Live In Time, which charts the development of the relationship between a couple over the decades, is due for release on January 1.
