Disney has announced new sequels for two of its most popular franchises, Toy Story and Frozen.
First released in 1995, Toy Story went on to spawn three follow-up movies and a spinoff centred around Buzz Lightyear, with total box office receipts for the franchise exceeding $3.3 billion (£2.7 billion).
Animated musical Frozen, meanwhile, was an unbridled success upon its release in 2013 and, together with the 2019 sequel, has pulled in $2.8 billion at the box office.
Speaking to investors late last week, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that Toy Story 5 and Frozen III are currently in development, while a sequel to Zootopia is also on the cards.
The company also revealed plans to launch an Avatar "experience" at Disneyland in California in the near future.
