The third Jurassic World film has been delayed by a whole year until 2022, Universal Pictures has confirmed.
The movie - Jurassic World: Dominion - will unite the stars of the World trilogy with the stars of the original Jurassic Park movies as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard team up with Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill.
The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc with both release dates and production across the film industry and now Dominion is the latest film to fall victim, with a new release date set for June 10, 2022 - one year on from the original plan of June 11, 2021.
Confirming the delay on Twitter, director Colin Trevorrow wrote: "For the past three months, I've worked with an extraordinary cast and crew on a film we can't wait to share with the world.
"Even though we'll have to wait a bit longer, it will all be worth it. Let's stay healthy and take care of each other until then."
Filming on the movie is thought to be ongoing and is due to wrap in around three weeks' time.
