Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal engage in battle in the first official pictures to be released from Gladiator II.

The sequel to Ridley Scott's epic Gladiator - released in 2000 - picks up a few decades after the events of the first film and centres on Lucius (Mescal), the grandson of Marcus Aurelius, who becomes a slave to a band of soldiers led by Pascal's Marcus Acacius.

Also pictured are Connie Nielsen, who returns as Lucius's estranged mother Lucilla, Denzel Washington as slave-turned-merchant Macrinus and Fred Hechinger as co-emperor Caracalla.

Gladiator II is due to be released on November 15, 2024.
