Robert Pattinson is reportedly in the frame to play the main villain in the upcoming third film in Denis Villeneuve's Dune franchise.
The movie - Villeneuve's last in the saga - is due to begin filming this summer and will mark the return of main stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh.
According to Deadline, they look set to be joined by Twilight and The Batman star Pattinson, who is being lined up to play Scytale - a foe of Chalamet's Paul Atreides.
The publication says that "no formal offer has been presented" to Pattinson as of yet, although Villeneuve has "strong interest" in adding him to his ensemble.
Dune 3 - provisionally titled Dune: Messiah - is expected for release at the end of 2026.
