Hollywood actor Tom Sizemore has been hospitalised after suffering a brain aneurysm at his home in Los Angeles.
The 61-year-old is known for supporting roles in a string of well-known action movies, including Saving Private Ryan, Heat, Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down.
According to TMZ, Sizemore was rushed to hospital after the incident, which occurred overnight, and is now in "a critical condition" in intensive care.
"He is in the hospital," representative Charles Lago confirmed. "His family is aware of the situation and are hoping for the best.
"It is too early to know about [a] recovery situation as he is in critical condition and under observation."
Sizemore has spoken openly about his battles with drug and alcohol addiction since he was a teenager, although there is no suggestion at present that those issues are related to his medical emergency.
The actor is father to 17-year-old twins.
