Uma Thurman has played down the possibility of a third Kill Bill movie happening any time soon.
The Quentin Tarantino masterpiece was released in two parts in 2003 and 2004 - and the director has stated multiple times that he intends to produce a follow-up at some point in the future.
Appearing on The Jess Cagle Show, Thurman - lead character 'The Bride' - was asked for an update on the status of Volume 3 but said that she had no news to share.
"I can't really tell you anything about it," she said. "I mean it has been discussed over the years. There was real thought about it happening, but very long ago. I don't see it as immediately on the horizon.
"I hate to disappoint people. Everybody wishes it would be the case, but I think it's not immediately on the horizon."
Tarantino has previously stated that the plot of the film would revolve around the now-adult daughter of Vivica A Fox's character Vernita Green as she sets out to avenge her mother's death by killing The Bride.
