ABBA have reportedly decided to extend the residency of their 'ABBA Voyage' show in London by a further year until spring 2026.
The show features holograms of the iconic Swedish pop group - known as 'ABBA-tars' - performing alongside live musicians and backing singers within the custom-built 'ABBA Arena' in East London.
Initial plans had the show running until 2025 but The Sun says that due to phenomenal demand, a whole year's worth of additional shows are now being scoped out.
"Everyone knows Abba has a seriously loyal fan base but the show was always a bit of a gamble," a source told the newspaper.
"No one really knew how the Abba-tars were going to be received, as similar hologram-style concerts were a mixed bag. But for Abba the reaction was amazing. Even those most sceptical about the tech have walked away impressed.
"The plan is to refresh the show with new songs that have already been shot by the group."
The group are also thought to be in continuing talks about taking the show to the Las Vegas strip.
