Adele reportedly records her next album 'in secret' and plans to release it later this year.

Adele has reportedly already recorded her next album 'in secret' and intends to release it later this year.

The record would be a relatively-quick follow-up to her last album, 30, which came out at the end of 2021 and marked her first album release in six years.

According to The Sun, the 34-year-old has already finished the new album, which is described as featuring her "most uplifting and positive songs ever", inspired by her new fiancé Rich Paul.

A source told the newspaper: "Some of 30 was actually recorded before the pandemic hit so Adele was sat on the record for ages during lockdown.

"Since then her life has totally transformed. She has gone from rock bottom to being madly in love and wants the world to know it.

"Her music reflects that and the next album will be her most optimistic ever. She won't be the queen of heartbreak ballads for much longer."

The singer recently announced a second run of her sold-out Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, with 34 more dates scheduled from June to November.
