Jeremih, the singer known for songs such as 'Birthday Sex' and 'Down On Me', is said to be fighting for his life in hospital after contracting coronavirus.
The 33-year-old is believed to be in intensive care at a hospital in Chicago after falling seriously ill with COVID-19, which has now killed more than a quarter of a million Americans.
News of Jeremih's illness came to light earlier on Saturday when colleagues in the music industry began to tweet their well wishes, with 50 Cent writing: "pray for my boy Jeremih he's not doing good this covid shit is real."
Chance The Rapper wrote: "Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he's ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him"
According to the Hollywood gossip website TMZ, Jeremih - real name Jeremy Felton - is getting "worse" and "the prognosis is bleak", although it remains unclear how long he has been in hospital, and how long he has been battling COVID.
Jeremih's most recent major project was a collaborative album with Ty Dollar $ign called MihTy.
