Jesy Nelson pulls out of EMAs, Little Mix The Search final

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson pulls out of the final episode of Little Mix The Search and hosting the MTV EMAs due to an unspecified illness.

Jesy Nelson has been forced to withdraw from tonight's final of Little Mix The Search as well as hosting tomorrow's MTV EMAs due to illness.

The news is the latest setback for the BBC reality show, which has already had to cancel an episode following an on-set coronavirus outbreak and postpone last weekend's semi-final to last night.

The nature of Nelson's illness is unknown, with a spokesperson for the band saying: "Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight's final of Little Mix The Search.

"She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow's MTV EMAs."

A subsequent tweet from the group said: "Can you believe tonight's the FINAL of @LMTheSearch!! We're unbelievably proud of all 6 bands and we can't wait to see the final 4 perform! We're so sad Jesy won't be able to join us tonight, but we have such an amazing show in store for you all"

The final of Little Mix The Search airs tonight at 6pm on BBC One.
