Lil Nas X straight in at number one with Montero (Call Me By Your Name)
Lil Nas X opens on top of the UK singles chart with 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)'.

Lil Nas X has claimed his second UK number one with 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)', according to the Official Charts Company.

The rapper, who previously had a chart-topper with 'Old Town Road' in 2019, opens in pole position after the track notched up 6.8 million streams over the last week, including 2.5 million plays of its steamy accompanying video.

Nathan Evans's viral sea shanty song 'Wellerman' drops from the top spot to number two, just ahead of Justin Bieber's 'Peaches' at three and A1 & J1's 'Latest Trends', down two to four.

British singer-songwriter Mimi Webb - another darling of TikTok - opens at 17 with 'Good Without', while Boney M classic 'Rasputin' is back in the charts after 43 years at number 38 thanks to a remix by London DJ Majestic.

Meanwhile, Ben Howard tops the albums chart with his fourth album Collections From The Whiteout and US rockers Evanescence open at four with The Bitter Truth.
