Legendary composer Burt Bacharach dies at the age of 94.

Legendary musician Burt Bacharach has died at the age of 94, his family have announced.

In a career spanning eight decades, he was responsible for numerous hits including 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head', 'Close To You' and 'That's What Friends Are For'.

According to reports, Bacharach passed away late on Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles, with a spokesperson saying that he died of "natural causes".

Oasis legend Noel Gallagher led the tributes, writing on social media: "RIP Maestro. It was a pleasure to have known you."

Bacharach is survived by wife Jane and three children.
