Neighbours veteran Stefan Dennis has opened up on the show's "incredibly emotional" final day of filming.
The soap will air its final episode in August, having been on the air for more than 37 years, after Channel 5 pulled its all-important funding earlier this year.
The show's final scenes were filmed on Friday and Dennis, who has played Paul Robinson since the first ever episode in 1985, has revealed that he was surprised by how upsetting the experience was.
"I sort of closed the studio door behind me on my very last scene, my very last dialogue scene and... I suddenly surprised myself by getting incredibly emotional," he told Aussie breakfast show Studio 10.
"I just kept to myself and went to my dressing room... so I'm keeping a very low profile today. I think I'll just be an absolute mess if I sort of hang around too long."
The final ever episode, which will also mark the guest returns of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce, will air on Channel 5 on August 1.
