Alex George "holding by a thread" after cruel jibe from troll

Doctor Alex George says that he is "holding by a thread" after a cruel jibe from a follower in the wake of his younger brother's death.

Doctor Alex George has revealed that he is "holding by a thread" following the death of his younger brother last month.

The 30-year-old's brother Llyr died following a battle with mental issues, just weeks before he was due to start medical school, and was laid to a rest in a funeral this week.

Earlier today George shared a video of a seaside view to his Instagram Stories alongside the caption "good for the soul" but was left shocked when one follower replied: "your brother is dead get off social media".

Screengrabbing the comment, George responded: "Imagine being this person. I'm holding by a thread and you get people like this."

In a follow-up message he added: "I am honest and open with you all. The good, the bad and the ugly.

"There is so much that isn't shared online of course. So many of you are so kind and message me each day with well wishes.

"I often post to let you know I am still going strong x."

After Llyr's funeral, George penned an emotional tribute to his sibling, writing: "I love you so much Llŷr, you are always with me, my boy."
