Amazon makes 'Peppa Pig' free during lockdown
Amazon Prime announces that it has made Peppa Pig available to stream for free amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Amazon Prime has confirmed that it has made all episodes of Peppa Pig available to stream for free as the UK enters lockdown due to coronavirus.

Last night Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a ban on all non-essential travel in an effort to slow the spread of the deadly disease, following on from the decision to close all schools across the UK last week.

As a result there has been a surge for home entertainment services such as Amazon Prime, which normally charges a monthly or annual fee for access to its library of TV shows and movies.

All users signed up to Amazon can now stream the popular kids animation Peppa Pig, however, as well as other children's favourites Fireman Sam and In The Night Garden.

In recent days the BBC has launched a version of iPlayer specifically targeted at keeping children occupied during the lockdown.
