Andrew Scott has been forced to cancel his special performances at the Old Vic after being taken to hospital for "minor surgery".
The Sherlock and Fleabag actor, 43, was due to perform Three Kings - a new show written during coronavirus lockdown - live from the iconic Waterloo theatre for a ticketed audience over Zoom this weekend.
However, the theatre announced that all of this week's performances have now been cancelled due to Scott's hospitalisation and have been rescheduled for next week instead.
An email to ticket holders said: "We are sorry to let you know that Andrew Scott is in now in hospital to undergo minor surgery and we therefore need to reschedule this week's performances of Old Vic: In Camera – Three Kings.
"The issue isn't serious (or COVID-19 related) and we are expecting Andrew to have a speedy recovery. He sends his love and apologies and says he'll see everyone next week."
The shows will now go ahead next Friday and Saturday instead.
