The BBC has recommissioned Michael McIntyre's The Wheel for a second series, it has been confirmed.
The format, which debuted on BBC One towards the end of last year, features a giant spinning wheel of celebrities, who must answer trivia questions in order to help win cash for contestants.
The show has quickly established itself in its Saturday evening slot, with the first episode consolidating to an impressive 6.4 million viewers after 28 days.
"I am thrilled by the success of The Wheel," said McIntyre. "The series was so much fun to host and I love how the gameplay in every show was so different but always entertaining and suspenseful.
"And having socially distanced strangers sing 'The Wheel' to me on my daily walk has been the unexpected pleasure of lockdown!"
The first series ran to 10 episodes, including a Christmas special, and the second series is for 16 episodes.
