Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul keen on Breaking Bad return

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul say they are keen to reprise their Breaking Bad characters in the final season of Better Call Saul.

Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have revealed that they are keen to return to the show's universe in some form.

Paul reprised his role as Jesse last year for the spinoff movie El Camino, which also featured Cranston's Walt in a cameo role in a flashback.

There has been persistent speculation that the pair could appear in prequel series Better Call Saul, meanwhile, and with the final season of that show now on the horizon they are keen to make it a reality.

"We always get asked about Better Call Saul and whether Jesse or Walt are gonna show up on that show," Cranston said on an Instagram live session.

"I don't know how many times we've gotta tell [creator] Vince [Gilligan] we're ready to do it, I just don't think he loves us anymore."

Paul added: "We'll see, who knows, we'll see. But if Vince knocked on either of our doors, of course we'd show up in a heartbeat."

The sixth and final season of Better Call Saul is due to air early in 2021.
