Channel 4 to make Buffy The Vampire Slayer available in full on demand

Channel 4 announces that it will release all seven seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer on All4 next month.

Channel 4 has announced that it is to make all seven seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer available for free on-demand via All4.

The show, which first aired between 1997 and 2003, starred Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers, a teen girl who discovers that she is the chosen one - the latest in a long line of "Slayers", who must battle vampires, demons and other nefarious beings.

Usage of on-demand TV services has rocketed during the coronavirus lockdown and now C4 has confirmed that it will release all 144 episodes of the cult series on All4 on Monday, June 1.

"We're ecstatic that we get to re-live the phenomenal success Buffy The Vampire Slayer has had over the past 23 years," said C4 acquisitions head Nick Lee, who recently concluded a deal to bring all episodes of Scrubs to All4.

"This for many is a long awaited chance to relive this iconic series. For others, it will be a chance to experience it for the very first time, and find out what all the fuss is about!"

The series will also air from the beginning on E4, weeknights at 11pm, starting June 1.
