Filming starts on series two of Danny Dyer's The Wall

New episodes of Dany Dyer-fronted gameshow The Wall begin filming in London.

Filming has started on the new series of Danny Dyer-fronted gameshow The Wall in London, it has been confirmed.

The first series aired last summer and was filmed on a shared international set in Poland, but due to coronavirus the BBC has been forced to recreate the set in the UK for the second series.

Speaking at a virtual session at the Edinburgh TV Festival, BBC entertainment controller Kate Phillips revealed: "Danny Dyer's recording The Wall this week. That's a joy, just seeing him back.

"We're doing it in Wembley this time because we couldn't do it in Poland but they've done a great job of getting the set in.

"Just hearing him screaming 'drop 'em', you think 'this is what we need in our Autumn schedule!'"

The new series will play out on BBC One later this year.
