Geri Horner rescues injured owl

Spice Girls singer Geri Horner reveals that she has rescued an injured owl during the coronavirus lockdown.

Spice Girls star Geri Horner has revealed that she has rescued an owl during the coronavirus lockdown.

The 47-year-old is a renowned animal lover and has multiple pets, including horses, at her home in Oxfordshire.

Like most of the country, Geri is currently isolating at home with her husband Christian Horner - team principal of F1 team Red Bull - but was forced to visit the vet's after finding an owl with an injured wing.

Posting a picture of herself alongside the stricken owl to Instagram, Horner wrote: "I found this beautiful owl on the ground unable to fly – he'd hurt his Wing ( I think flown into a telephone wire ) – he's now at the vet. Let's hope he's ok."

Last week Geri posted a tribute to the NHS for their work battling the deadly coronavirus, telling the frontline workers that they put "the GREAT in Great Britain".
