ITV reportedly beats off competition from Sky to broadcast Oprah Winfrey's interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The primetime interview special with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will reportedly be shown on ITV next Monday night.

The two-hour programme, which will see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, airs in the US on CBS on Sunday night.

According to The Mirror, ITV has agreed a deal worth £1 million to broadcast the two-hour special on Monday night at 8pm.

The interview was pre-recorded last month and a trailer released by CBS shows Winfrey telling Markle that she has "said some pretty shocking things".

The network has faced increasing calls to postpone the broadcast of the interview as Harry's grandfather, Prince Philip, remains ill in hospital but as things stand it remains on course to be shown on Sunday.
