McFly postpone comeback tour

McFly are forced to reschedule their first tour in nine years for later in the year due to coronavirus.

McFly have confirmed that their comeback tour scheduled for this summer has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Almost all live events planned for the next few months have been cancelled due to the spread of COVID-19, which has killed almost 25,000 people worldwide so far.

McFly were due to reunite for the first time in nine years for The 2020 Tour around the UK in April and May, but those dates have now been rescheduled for October and November.

In a statement, the four-piece said: "Following the latest government advice we are very sad to announce that we are rescheduling our upcoming April / May UK 2020 tour.

"The safety and health of our fans is our utmost priority. Look after each other & see you very soon. Love Tom, Danny, Harry & Dougie."

McFly became the youngest ever band to debut at number one with their first album when Room on the 3rd Floor topped the charts in 2005, breaking a 42-year record held by The Beatles.
