The Crown creator Peter Morgan has admitted that he is considering involving Olivia Colman in the fifth season of the show in 2022.
The fourth season of the epic royal drama, which depicts the life of The Queen over the decades, will be released on Netflix this Sunday - with a two-year gap then following before season five comes out.
As it stands season four will be the last to feature Colman as the monarch before she hands the reigns over to Imelda Staunton for the final two seasons, but Morgan has hinted that it may not quite be the end for Colman's Elizabeth.
Speaking at a press event for the new season, Colman suggested that she could appear in a "dream sequence" in future episodes, prompting Morgan to reply: "I don't want to say anything yet, but I'm toying with a couple of ideas... I'll see what I can do."
The Crown season four drops on Netflix globally at 8am UK time on Sunday.
