The Office star Ranjit Chowdhry has died in Mumbai at the age of 64.

The Indian actor appeared in several episodes of the comedy as Vikram, who befriends Dunder Mifflin boss Michael Scott (Steve Carell) as he works a second job as a telemarketer.

Vikram is later hired by Michael to work at The Michael Scott Paper Company, although his involvement in the new venture is short-lived.

According to TMZ, Chowdry travelled to India for routine dental surgery earlier this year and was unable to return to the US due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
