Two Nolan Sisters diagnosed with cancer within days of each other

Two members of the Nolan Sisters reveal that they have been diagnosed with cancer, seven years after the death of their sister Bernie Nolan from breast cancer.

Two of The Nolan Sisters have revealed that they were both recently diagnosed with cancer within days of each other.

The girl group - known for hits including 'I'm In The Mood For Dancing' - have had multiple lineups over the years but enjoyed the peak of their success as five sisters in the 1980s.

The second youngest of the girls, Bernie Nolan, died of breast cancer in 2013 and now, in a heartbreaking development, both Linda Nolan and Anne Nolan have also been diagnosed with cancer.

Oldest sister Anne, 69, told The Sun: "I don't want to die. I love my life so much. I love my daughters, my grandchildren, my friends, all my family.

"I want to live for as long as I possibly can. I am scared of dying as well. Even though I believe in God, I'm still scared."

Linda, who has incurable liver cancer, told the newspaper: "It's just really hard and I'm scared of dying. I don't want to die.

"I want to be around and see my great nieces and nephews grow up, and that's why I'm putting everything I've got into trying to get well.

"I haven't even given Anne a hug. Because now we're frightened because our immune system is low that if we got something infectious or, God forbid, Covid, then it would be a real battle to stay alive."

Youngest sister Coleen Nolan, 55, is a regular presenter on ITV's Loose Women.
