Vinnie Jones, Captain Sir Tom Moore confirmed for Piers Morgan's Life Stories

Vinnie Jones and Captain Sir Tom Moore will feature in two new episodes of Piers Morgan's Life Stories.

Vinnie Jones and Captain Sir Tom Moore have been confirmed for two new special episodes of Piers Morgan's Life Stories.

War veteran Moore became a symbol of inspiration during the coronavirus lockdown, raising almost £33 million for the NHS by walking laps of his back garden to mark his 100th birthday.

Footballer turned movie star Jones was previously interviewed by Morgan on the show in 2009 but is returning following a tumultuous decade which saw him lose his wife to cancer last summer.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be interviewing two such great British characters," said Morgan.

"I've known Vinnie for over 30 years and Captain Tom for just a few months, but I'm a huge admirer of the way both men have handled the highs and lows of their lives and these promise to be very emotional and inspiring shows."

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's head of entertainment, added: "Piers Morgan's Life Stories are always an in-depth and sincere look into fascinating characters' lives, and these two won't disappoint.

"Both Vinnie and Captain Tom promise to be special, heartfelt episodes and what better way to celebrate the return of this much-loved series."

The two episodes are due to be filmed next week and will air on ITV in September.
