Rylan Clark misses his Radio 2 show after being hospitalised with an unknown illness.

Rylan Clark has missed his Saturday afternoon Radio 2 show for the second week running after being hospitalised for an unknown illness.

Last week the 33-year-old was forced off the airwaves for what he described on social media as "the flu" but his illness appeared to get worse as the week progressed.

The presenter shared a picture of him in hospital with a cannula attached alongside the message: "Finally home after an extended trip to Costa del hospital. Slowly on the mend. Won't be on the wireless tomorrow. Resting up. Be back soon."

Vanessa Feltz was among the first to offer her well-wishes, writing: "Sweetheart wishing you a speedy recovery. Would you like some of my homemade chicken soup sent over. Love Vanessaxx"

Clark previously took several months off all of his TV and radio projects last year as he dealt with the breakup of his marriage.
