LBC veteran Steve Allen has vowed to return to the airwaves "ASAP" after being off the air for more than two weeks with illness.
The 66-year-old has been with the station for more than 40 years and currently presents the early breakfast show six days a week.
Allen came to the airwaves an hour later than planned on February 16 and also left 50 minutes early after reportedly falling unwell, and he has not been on air since.
In a Twitter post on Wednesday, the station said: "Thank you to everyone who's got in touch to ask about Steve Allen. Steve is still feeling unwell and taking a few more days off. He's asked us to thank you for all your kind messages."
Allen followed the tweet up with his own message several hours later, saying: "I am truly humbled by the amount of messages of support and promise you all I am doing my very best to be back with you all ASAP, a million thanks from the bottom of my [heart]."
Ian Payne has been standing in for Allen during his absence.
