Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman will not be returning as a permanent judge for the second season of Canada's Drag Race, it has been confirmed.
The actor was joined by Brooke Lynn Hytes and Stacey McKenzie on the judging panel for the Drag Race spinoff when it launched last year, although he came in for some criticism on social media for what some users believed to be overly harsh critiques.
In a video posted to Instagram, Hytes confirmed that she and McKenzie would be back for season two, but added: "With all good news must come some sad news.
"Unfortunately, our third [judge] will not be joining us this season and we're gonna miss him so much.
"Jeffrey is filming his new show. He's busy, he's booked, and he's getting paid, and, unfortunately, with the scheduling, things just didn't work out for him to come back for this season.
"He's going to be so missed. We love you so much Jeffrey."
Canada's Drag Race season two is currently in production and is expected to air later this year.
