Bobby Davro is recovering after suffering a minor stroke during a live gig in South London last week.
The 65-year-old comedian has been ordered to rest for a fortnight by doctors following the incident, although he expects to be back on stage on February 4.
"His condition has greatly improved and he's now resting at home," a source told The Sun.
"Clearly he's feeling much better as Bobby described his proximity to the hospital and the excellent care he received there as 'a real stroke of luck'."
The entertainer, who rose to fame in the 1980s, is also known to younger audiences for playing Vinnie Monks on EastEnders from 2007 to 2008.
