The former entertainer and convicted sex abuser Rolf Harris has died at the age of 93.
The Australian singer, presenter and artist was one of the most beloved figures on British TV screens for many decades but in 2014 he was found guilty of a string of indecent assaults on girls between 1968 and 1986.
Harris subsequently spent three years behind bars but never acknowledged committing crimes, nor displayed any degree of remorse.
A family statement said: "This is to confirm that Rolf Harris recently died peacefully surrounded by family and friends and has now been laid to rest.
"They ask that you respect their privacy. No further comment will be made."
The cause of Harris's death has yet to be revealed, although it was reported last year that he had been diagnosed with neck cancer.
Harris married his wife Alwen in 1958 and together they have one daughter, Bindi.
