Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have relocated permanently to the UK following Donald Trump's election victory earlier this month.
In a surprise result on November 5, Trump comfortably defeated Democrat opponent Kamala Harris to secure a return to the White House in January, four years after he left office.
DeGeneres, whose long-running talkshow ended in 2022, had publicly endorsed Harris, writing on social media: "There's nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can't wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president."
The 66-year-old comedian is said to have purchased a house in the Cotswolds - around two hours from London and close to the Welsh border - prior to the election result but is now planning to make it her permanent base.
According to TMZ, DeGeneres and De Rossi were "very disillusioned" by the result and promptly decided to "get the hell out".
The couple are also planning to sell their mansion in Montecito, California in the near future.
